Kids Making a Difference


It is easy to feel helpless in the face of big business or governments and the choices they make, so I thought I would find some links about children who are making a big difference in the world.

Kids Are Heroes - lots of ideas. On this page Meet The Heroes you can read about all sorts of children and what they are doing in big and small ways to make a difference.

Malala Yousufzai - aged 15 was shot in the head in her home country of Pakistan because she was openly advocating education for girls.She has now recovered and started school in England.

Boyan Slat - aged 19 has unveiled plans to create an Ocean Cleanup Array that could remove 7,2500,000 tons of plastic waste from the world’s oceans.
