More static images

These are the images that were handed in. Given five blocks to plan, develop and complete the images some managed their time well and completed work to a high standard. Several then showed great co-operative skills to support others to finish.
Some students managed their time poorly and completed work to a low standard, or tried so hard to do a good job they didn't finish. Others were slow to start, drifted off task a lot and didn't finish.
These days I set deadlines, regularly remind students of the time available and expect them to work to the deadlines. That's how life is, and I believe they may as well be given the opportunities to develop time management skills sooner rather than later.

Here are the last of the images. Remember the brief was to use a scene from a book, movie or game to deliver a one word message.

Flying To Australia

"Whoa," I muttered looking through the window.
My sister said, "Yay, we're in the clouds."
I whispered to my sister Kelly, "We're in the sky."
My brother grumbled, "I'm hungry," but some stranger said, "Shhhhh," because he was watching a movie.

Then the light turned on and food came. It was delicious.

Caterpillar poetry

We've been playing with 5W poems based around experiences with the caterpillars.
The 5 Ws are Who? What? Where? When? Why?

Each line of the poem answers a question in that order.

Here are some.

The caterpillars
turn into cocoons
on a leaf
when the time feels right
because that's what they do.
By Devon Martin

The caterpillars
form into a cocoon
on a leaf that's strong
when they're fat and bloated
so they may be pretty when evolved.
By Ranui Purnell

Caterpillars
munching
on leaves
outside
because they are hungry.
By Zinzan Wilson-Ogg

Little caterpillar
hatching
on a swan plant
when the sun just rose
to live its life.
By Patricia Nikara

The caterpillars
were eating
on the plant
when they are big and fat
they will have eaten enough to become a chrysalis.
By Rhylee Moore

Two caterpillars
munching leaves
on a huge tree
all day long
so they can turn into pretty butterflies.
by Titan Simon

The caterpillars
eat leaves
on a leaf
when they feel like tea
because they're hungry.
By Amanda Dempsey.
